OVERCOMING THE TRICKS OF ANTI-CHRIST SPIRITS

I may not know all there is to know about the tricks of the anti-christ spirits, but I do know for sure that I have observed some very sly tricks through the years. Often times I have been a witness to the fact that spirits that are against Christ are obviously playing tricks and mind games on some of my friends.

Since childhood I have watched people get excited about living for God, and I have seen their lives changed by the mighty power of our wonderful Lord. They testified with great joy and zeal as they brought congregations to their feet clapping hands and praising God. Later I found some of these same people walking on a dark path, and it seemed that there was no longer any love for the truth they once embraced. The joy they once testified about had vanished away.

As I prayerfully present this blog I sincerely hope somebody out there reading these simple words will become more alert and watchful for some tricks of the anti-christ spirits that never sleep as they constantly look for a way to trip us up and cause us great pain. Please be reminded that no matter what tricks may have caused you to stumble or fall, there is a greater power that loves you standing ready to cause you to be an overcomer.

I am here to share some things that I have been learning for many years about some tricks to watch out for and what it takes to outsmart bad spirits. My thoughts come from a book so large that it cannot fit into any library. It is the book of life consisting of millions of people with billions of problems and hang ups. God still loves all the people in this world, and he wants us all to be filled with joy and happiness living in victory every day.

The targets of the ungodly sprits of anti-christ are not the sinners or the people teaching false doctrines. Those who are already in the grips of anti-christ spirits are not a threat to their cunning ways. If you have been set free by the power of God and have obeyed the Lord you are an enemy and a target for millions of spirits that despise the God you serve. God's enemy wants to steal your dreem and destroy your hope.

I gave my life to the Lord in 1957. Today I am still serving the same Lord because of his grace and mercy. The road has not been easy, but I do not regret a single mile. I am still here in the kingdom because God has made me an overcomer. There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind... YOU CAN BE AN OVERCOMER TOO!

Let's consider a few tricks of the slimy snake in our pathway.

Have you ever wondered why ungodly people sometimes seem to have more than you have, can do more than you can do, and always seem to feel better than you feel? One of the tricks used over and over by anti-christ spirits is deceitfulness of riches. This trick has been around for a long long time, and anti-christ spirits seem to think that they score points when the children of God get wrapped up in the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches. Those of us who plan to endure until the end will need to find a time in our lives when we fully decide that we do not love the world or the things of the world. We need to remind ourselves over and over that we have rejected the ways of the world as we have decided to follow the Lord. Once you have fully determined in your heart that you really do love the Lord, and once you have made a commitment to serve your awesome God regardless of the cost, you will have no problem enduring until the end. God will see to it that you will always end up with the victory. You will have power over all wicked ways of anti-christ spirits no matter what games they play or how they try to trick you.

We must always remember that we are king's kids in the kingdom of God, and since our father is the king of kings we have more than we ever had before and can do more than we ever could have done just because of who we belong to.

Our new life in Christ has placed us in the middle of a the war between good and evil. We are being watched all the time by spirits of anti-christ. They never stop looking for an opportunity to steal us away from the master. All it takes for us get wounded or destroyed is to be out in the open and not paying attention to the instructions of our heavenly father. My experience in living has convinced me over and over that we really need to remember that the battle is the Lord's, and he will win the battle and the war. We just need to continue to trust the Lord as we follow his leading and command.

Here is another trick often used by these bad spirits. Everything seems to be going well, and you are walking in victory. Suddenly something happens as you yield through the flesh to the ways of the world. You say something or do something that you thought would never be said or done again, Now a dart filled with evil poison has found your heart, and you don't even know you have been wounded. There is no pain, and it seems that all is well even though you know in your heart that you have said something or done something wrong.

Since everything seems to be alright there is no repentance. You just go on and keep doing the things you have been doing. To others you appear to be alright. You go to Church, sing in the choir, preach in the pulpit, teach the sunday school class, testify etc, but you find yourself paying attention to things that you thought you had forsaken. Gradually you loose interest in the things of God and find yourself looking for the back seat of the Church. When you give in the offering you search through the twenty dollar bills to find a one dollar bill, or you just reach into your pocket for some change. Somehow it is suddenly difficult to drop a couple of twentys into the offering plate. You start finding reasons to skip Church services, and you don't pray as often as you once did. For some reason you don't want to show up for prayer meetings, and you have lost your desire to tell others about the Lord. You become more concerned about how long the preacher is going to preach than what is being preached. The faults of other people in the Church are always on your mind, and you justify the way you are thinking by what you see them doing. Praise is replaced with complaining.

If you do not find a way to get this poison your of our life, it will finally take you back to the world you came out of when you started walking with Christ.

Hero worship is another trick that has resulted in much hurt and multiple wounded spirits.

There is nothing more wonderful than being happy in Jesus, being a member of a good local Church and having a great pastor. God has given us wonderful pastors, and the Lord works with his pastors blessing us over and over with excellent words of inspiration. Millions of souls are being blessed by the preaching of the Word and the loving care of the local pastor as excellent wisdom filled answers keep coming our way.

Sometimes we are so blessed that we just cannot get enough. After the service we ask for a recording of the outstanding preaching that blessed us in such a mighty way. All week long we listen to that recording, and sometimes we find ourselves being moved to tears again and again as we listen. This is an awesome way to live. The anti-christ spirit knows that you are being blessed. Everytime you lift those hands and praise the Lord during the playing of that recording an enemy is observing and becoming very angry.

Suddenly in the midst of blessings you get the news. The pastor has made a terrible mistake, there is trouble in the local Church. Families are divided and fighting. You are convinced that your pastor can never fail. You rise in defense of the man of God that has been such a blessing in your life only to learn that it really is true. He really did mess up and got caught. The pastor resigns and leaves in disgrace with his head down after all those wonderful moments that have blessed you so many times. Your friends and some of your family members can't stop talking about how that pastor has failed. Now a heart that was filled with joy is broken, and tears of joy are replaced with tears of great sorrow, and you feel that everything important in your life has been crushed.

Anti-Christ spirits will come to comfort you during these times. These spirits show up as friends, family members, church board member, Sunday School teachers, and others who serve as leaders in the Church. As your hurting soul is crying out for help your ears are being filled with all kinds of advice.

Your dreams have been shattered. and you are really feeling down. The entire anti-christ family shows up to help you. Here comes anger, bitterness, vengence, wrath, disappointment, defeat, discouragement, oppression, depression, gossip, slander, sadness, gloom, agony, despair, temptation, worry, doubt, fear, hatefulness and loneliness. They bring many friends including hopeless, faithless, and worthless. Now you have a choir following you everywhere you go. The anti-christ singers replace those awesome recordings you once enjoyed. When you are driving to work the choir is singing to the tune of the Hallelujah Chorus, "YOOOOU CAN'T MAKE IT...YOOOOU CAN'T MAKE IT, CAN'T MAKE IT, CAN'T MAKE IT, CAN'T MAAAAAKE IT... YOU'RE A LOSER, YOU'RE A LOSER, A LOSER, A LOSER, A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER! YOU CANNOT MAKE IT, IT'S ALL OOOOOVER... ALL OVER, ALL OVER......" Louder and louder they sing all day long. "...YOU SHOULD GIVE UP, YOU SHOULD GIVE UP, JUST GIVE UP, JUST GIVE UP, JUST GIIIIIVE UP... JUST FORGET IT, JUST FORGET IT, FORGET IT, FORGET IT, FORGEEEEEET IT..." THERE IS NO HOPE IN GOD... YOU CAN'T TRUST HIM, CAN'T TRUST HIM, CAN'T TRUST HIM..." After a terrible day you go to your bedroom, turn off the lights, and the music starts again. The entire choir has followed you into your bedroom, and now they are singing louder than ever...."YOOOOU ARE WORTHLESS...YOOOOU ARE WORTHLESS, YOU'RE WORTHLESS, YOU'RE WORTHLESS, YOUR'RE WOOOORRRRTHLESS." Then comes that awesome anti-christ duet..." YOU'RE GOD IS AGAINST YOOOU AGAAAAAAAAAAAINST YOU... OOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOOOOOH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!"

At this point there is only one thing to do. Lift both of your hands, open your mouth, and SHOUT TO THE LORD WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH..."JESUS!" Let not your heart be troubled no matter how many were in that crazy choir and no matter how they made you feel. Call on the name of the Lord, and God will come to the rescue. Let Jesus know that you love the mighty God. Tell the Lord that from now on with his help you will worship only the true God. Determine in your heart that you will never again rise and fall with the success or failure of others. Next time the Church door opens for service...BE THERE! Sit toward the front. Love the word no matter who is peaching. Worship the Lord, and look forward to an opportunity to render your overcoming testimony.
